Petit Verdot is a traditional French varietal most commonly used in blends with Cabernet Sauvignon. It is a late ripening variety known for its colour and tannin profile.
Our Special Release Petit Verdot is the result of an individual block selection. The fruit was fermented in open top fermenters, and then matured for 18 months in Barrique oak allowing for perfectly integrated tannins and flavour development.
The wine shows dark cherry and savoury spice fruits with brooding chocolate and earth notes. The palate is medium to full with expressive tannins that finish long and fine.
